RES'EAU PI Named NSERC Industrial Chair

Congratulations to RES’EAU investigator Dr. Manuel J. Rodriguez of Université Laval on his recent appointment as NSERC Industrial Chair in the Management and Surveillance of Drinking Water Quality from the Watershed to the Citizen's Tap.

The Chair's focus will be to guide the development of strategies for the protection of drinking water sources and quality monitoring, the development of performance evaluation methods for municipal water treatment plants and the development of tools for managing and monitoring water quality in distribution systems. 

This Chair is the result of a partnership between the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the City of Québec, the City of Lévis, Ville de Saint-Jérôme, Avensys Solutions, SNC-Lavalin and the Association for the Environmental Protection of Lake St. Charles and North Marais (APEL).

Dr. Rodriguez is a PI on three RES'EAU research projects:

3.1 Residual Disinfectant Management in Distribution Networks
3.2 Improved Water Safety Plans for Small and First Nations Drinking Water Systems
