New Network of First Nations Water Operators Announced

First Nations water operators in British Columbia and the Yukon Territories have launched their own network to support and advocate for their profession.

The interim board of directors unveiled the First Nations' Operators Water Net for British Columbia & Yukon Territories (FN's OWN BC & YT) at the Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) annual operators conference in Vancouver, BC in late October.

Jim Brown, lead operator for Lytton First Nation in BC and a long-time RES'EAU partner on our Community Circles project there, is a member of the board, along with Barney Stewart, Floyd Naziel, James Tomma, Darren Robertson, June Wiliams, Allan Hackett, Richard Inster and Vonna Moses.

The RES'EAU-WaterNET team congratulates FN's OWN BC & YT and we look forward to a productive partnership.
