Ty Bereskie

Growing up in a rural coal mining region of the eastern United States, Ty was surrounded by water quality issues in small communities that not only plagued residents, but devastated the environment. This passion lead to a bachelor’s and master’s degree focused on water chemistry, biological water treatment, and environmental restoration. Ty has spent time working on the impacts of agriculture runoff into Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont and has worked as an environmental consultant specializing in wetland mitigation and erosion control in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. The RES’EAU program was a major motivation for continuing his education in Canada and as a part of RES’EAU he will be working on residual disinfectant management in distribution networks of small communities.
